NGC 869 & NGC 884 Double Cluster , M57 & M103

Celestron NexStar 80GT
80mm Aperture, 400mm Focal Length, F5 telescope (my daughter's scope)

Don't let anyone tell you you can't use a baby NexStar to do Deep Space. Is it ideal? No. But it can be done and it is a kick when something actually comes out of it. Tracking is very poor on the N80GT. I've managed 7 seconds max exposure but that is with most frames completely unusuable. Still, the crisp images are a testiment to the short tube 80.

Please keep in mind that I had just got the camera when I took these and my processing is rudimentary at best. Nice to see my meager progress in the interim.

M103 Open Cluster a bit out of focus - no. I just noticed the problem. Rotation. 175 images was just too much to stack in altaz! Aha!
